What Are Section 301 Tariffs?
Updated 2026-10-01 · planning estimates
Section 301 tariffs are additional US duties on goods from China, imposed following USTR investigations. In the current schedule many categories carry an extra 25% on top of the MFN rate, with category-specific overrides (for example solar and semiconductors are higher).
They do not apply to goods from Vietnam, India, Mexico or other origins. On our product pages the Section 301 layer is shown separately so the total is transparent.
