What Is Landed Cost?
Updated 2026-10-01 · planning estimates
Landed cost is the total price of a product once it has arrived at the buyer's door: product cost plus duty, customs fees, freight, insurance and handling. On this site we show the customs portion — value + duty + MPF + HMF — and note where freight and broker fees would be added.
Getting landed cost right before ordering protects margins; missing a tariff layer can understate cost by 30–60% on some origins.
