What Is the MFN Rate?
Updated 2026-10-01 · planning estimates
The MFN (most-favored-nation / normal trade relations) rate is the standard tariff the US applies to WTO members it does not have a free-trade agreement with. Most everyday goods enter at MFN unless a preference (such as USMCA) or an additional tariff (301/232) changes it.
On each product page the MFN rate is the first, base layer; other layers are added on top.
